Renaming Genre Doesn't "Stick".

I'm running JRiver 18.0.212 on a dedicated PC music server.
I'm in the Content Panel, and rename all or any of the files from certain CDs that I ripped.
After renaming the files, they revert back to the original Genre.
That is, the renaming doesn't "stick".
This only happens to certain albums / files.
How can I rename this info?

Check the file permissions.  When an attempt at tagging fails like this, it is usually because writing the tags to the files has been denied by the OS.
