Audio analysis of ripped file
« on: December 10, 2013, 01:00:37 pm »

Question for you folks. Is there a way for MC to analyze and report the audio properties (DD, DTS-MA, PCM Audio, etc) of a m2ts or mkv file aside from playing the file?

No replies... But I came across a refrence to a program in another unrelated thread. I have installed 'MediaInfo' and it appears to provide me with the information I was seeking.

Yep, good pick up. That's a handy tool.

You've also got "Analyse Audio" that you can run from Library Tools or set up with file import. More info here:

Very useful for audio levelling. As the link says, it's a big subject.
