I have an iso file that JRiver plays just fine, but I want to be able to play the track on a linux-based server in another room and that device won't recognize iso's.  I therefore tried to convert the iso to DSD on JRiver so that I could send it over the network to the server's hard drive.  The iso has six files but, according to what I see in the file folder and after importing the new files, JRiver converted only three of the six, calling them albumname.dsf, albumname(1).dsf, and albumname(2).dsf.  I got no error message.  Am I doing something wrong or is there any particular reason why I'd be short half the tracks after a "successful" conversion?

This is a known issue with converting CUE or ISO tracks.  The filenames can collide.

It's on our list to fix.

If this is an SACD ISO, you should use sacd_extract to extract the DSF or DFF files, rather than have Media Center convert it.
 
Media Center will have a PCM stage in the conversion to DSD files, so I don't recommend it.

I appreciate the recommendation, but I gather that sacd extract requires me to have a PS3.  I only have about ten iso files that need to be in some other format to be readable, so I don't picture myself buying a PlayStation for this specific purpose.  I can tolerate some quality alteration in order to have taggable files that can play at all on the other device.

The PS3 tool is required to rip the SACD layer from your SACD discs. (a PC will only see the CD layer, if it's a hybrid disc)
 
There is also a Windows command line tool which will let you extract individual DFF/DSF tracks from SACD ISOs you have previously ripped.

You don't need a PS3 only the program that you run on your PC to extract the files from the iso. You need the PS3 to extract iso files only. The extracted files can be tagged with JRiver.
