cleaning up network devices/other devices.. steps please
« on: January 31, 2014, 06:30:32 pm »

I thought a screenshot mock up would best describe my questions.
1.how to remove a device from other devices we do not want others to see, but yet want to be able to have access to.
2.when clicking the generic dlna icons in media devices they just open up windows media player, can we delete/remove these somehow?
3. almost all my media devices names are doubled up.. is there away to change these names so they show up as bedroom, not Bedroom:Bedroom
Thanks

In MC, you can right click on devices to rename or hide.

In Explorer, you might try a right click.

You can add a login/password on the server in MC.

in explorer right click just offers...
view device webpage - opens jrivers webremote
open media player - opens a blank windows media player library
create shortcut - does just that
properties -  brings up properties window as shown in image above.

yeah i tried the hide device on my workstation jriver library, and now it won't unhide :( i've right clicked on playing from (multiple times) chose show hidden library, then click on that library name and nothing happens. but if i goto add library re-enter access key, and username password then it will show it for that library 's items but it never says the library name above add library.
not having the best of luck.
