What, exactly, is jrweb.exe, and why would it launch 2 instances as soon as MC starts? I would assume it's MC connecting to the web, but why? What does MC need to do instantly upon starting?
I ask because I'm trying to watch a movie, and it's stuttering badly. I've rebooted the machine, and verified that my server isn't doing a parity check, and that all drives are spun up.
I've verified that MC isn't set to auto import, and that it's using Internet Explorer (not Chromium) for the browser.
Avast has the entire JRiver folder as an exception, and isn't showing any sign of activity.
I've left MC running for 15 minutes, and the 2 JRWeb.exe instances are still both showing about 7500 K of memory being used.
I've checked my laptop, and there are no instances of JRWeb.exe running on my laptop, and I DO have auto import enabled, and it's also set to us Media network (the other machine is set to not use Media network).
I don't know what the 'bad' machine is doing, nor why it's got 2 instances running. I tried killing them both, but that didn't fix anything. i rebooted the machine and both instances started again as soon as I launched MC.
What might cause this and how can I stop this behavior?
