Data Support was checked when I went to Tools | Options | General | Features:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1iAZqXrLW5SaTJpTtjy4okFCxQ5joH1RU/view?usp=sharing

Well that's odd. I have MC installed on a test PC. The library was empty, and although Data Support was checked, the Documents item was missing. I unchecked Data Support, restarted MC, checked Data Support, and restarted again. Documents was still missing, so I set up the library import process and imported a folder. The Documents item appeared, and I could make it disappear and reappear by unchecking and rechecking the Data Support box. Since you don't have the Documents item, try unchecking Data Support, restarting MC, checking the Data Support box again, restarting MC, and forcing the library import process to run again.

You might have the files in the bad/deleted database cache as well, and, by default, they won't be re-imported if they are there so we don't get dups on things removed from the library.

You can add a smartlist to show bad/removed files and then highlight and delete them (refresh and repeat) then try the import again.

DJLegba, thanks for the subsequent guidance. I will try that after Bob's tips.

Bob, can you give me the steps to add a smartlist? I presume once I do that I can delete the suspect files.  Also, would it be cleaner if I wiped the library and imported brand new. I raise this option as there are times I have tried to do that, but it appears that the library is never fully wiped as the import happens way too fast. The only thing that is slow is the import of the album artwork (or something to that extent- I'm not home at the moment). That doesn't seem right.

You could try the wiki for smartlist help.

Bob, thanks for the update to the wiki. Some navigational questions (all new to me)- I created the Bad or Removed smartlist and followed all the steps in https://wiki.jriver.com/index.php?title=Create_a_Smartlist&oldid=15628.

After I select the the new Bad or Removed, there are no entries for me to select and delete. What else should I be doing?

I can't tell from your image because it's cut off on the right but did you select all of the media types?

If you did and it's still now showing anything, show me the full path of an asset that's not importing please...

Georgios, I don't know about the Mac. My issue is with the Id.

Bob, the rule I created is "Media Type" "is" and then I checked audio, <empty>, data, and image. Modify results "Limit database to" "Removed; Bad".

I attached an image showing the full path with the PDF and a screenshot from JRemote showing the absence of the asset.

Is it fair to say, at this point, that this will never be a feature on the Android version of JRemote?

My Android device can SEE that there's a pdf asset. On the metadata page there's an asset tab and there's a pdf icon with the correct file name in that tab.

But JRemote crashes when I try to open it. 🙁
