aif vs. flac
« on: October 12, 2014, 07:31:55 am »

When ripping redbook cd's is there any value to using flac rather than aif other than saving some storage space. And conversely is there any negative aspect of using aif rather that flac when ripping redbook cd's?

Thanks,

Bob

This basic query gets asked on a regular basis. There are various opinions. I use FLAC because it has extensive tagging functionality and robust capability to embed cover art in the file.

Searching Interact should turn up a fair few hits, so have a look and sees what makes sense to you.
