Hey Devs take a look at the new search box in Allmusic dot com...sure would be nice in MC

I see it pop up suggestions about what I'm typing.  Media Center does the same.  What am I missing?

I'm guessing the way that it is formatted to list the top results from:

• Artists
• Albums
• Songs
• See all results for "<search>"

Formatting the results like that, and displaying some cover art for each item would greatly improve the appearance of search results.
 
I'd say that Last.FM's search box is a better example. (since I just went there to get artist images for a mockup I was going to make)

The default search suggestion popup also gets bigger than the search box.  It shows long results.

well then I'm doing something wrong cuz all i get is a tiny square in the upper right hand corner and maybe 4 selections if I'm lucky...oh well it is what it is

I'm seeing 15 lines when I start to type and it's much wider than the search box.

I get 5 lines which are mostly useless due to search including fields it should not:


 
Compare that to last.fm, for presentation more than the results:

 
 
I should be seeing at least:

Artists

• Queen
• Queens of the Stone Age

Albums

• Plenty of Queen albums to pick from - perhaps pick the newest 3 or top played 3 from any artists listed above?
• And 3 albums which have "Queen" in the title, from artists which don't have Queen in their name.

Tracks:

• Plenty of songs from artists other than Queen/QotSA with "Queen" in the name - excluding duplicate names, I get 30+ results
• E.g. "Queen Bitch - David Bowie"
• Maybe list 5 most played tracks with "Queen" in the title, rather than tracks by an artist with Queen in the name.
