Web Browser engine problem
« on: February 08, 2015, 12:46:29 am »

I am first time user of MC20 and IE11.
After the start, the start screen changed to the black with message 'the web browser engine is not properly working. please retry .......'.
How can I fix it?
Thanks,

Try rebooting.  What version of Windows are you running?

I tried rebooting few times, but it did not solve the problem.
I have Window 7 Home version.
Thanks,

You could switch between IE and Chromium in Options > Tree & View > Web Browser.

When you first switch to Chromium, it'll have to download.  So give it a while.

Something similar happened to me a few weeks ago. At the time, I could not figure out why it was not working, so I just downloaded and reinstalled the software, and it worked fine.

However, a few days ago, Norton Internet Security's monthly log popped up, and in that list was "jrweb.exe" from around that same time. For some weird reason, Norton thought it was suspicious at the time and moved it into quarantine. I am guessing that was a false positive.
