JRiver 20-ripping cd's-no file names
« on: February 10, 2015, 08:14:26 am »

When ripping CD's I get the album art but does not copy the file names, only track numbers. How do I get the file names when ripping CD's using JRiver 20?

MC automatically looks up track names, album, and artist from the database at yadb.com.

Not all CD's are in the database.  You should get at least 90%.

A firewall or other "security" software might prevent this lookup.

Hi Jim, Thank you for the response.  The two CD's I tried areU218 Singles and The Jimi Hendrix Experience-Are you experienced.  Are these albums in the library?  My guess is they are since I did get the album art and therefore the firewall or security software is not stopping the transfer of this data. How can I confirm the settings are on automatic and what security settings do you suggest?  I would like to double check everything.
