1. Changed: Added "Auto Group this channel" right-click menu on Manage Channels tool, to automatically find matching channels to group with.

3. NEW: Double-click on the headers of a grouped list control fires a double-click on the entire grouping, which normally starts playback (but depends on the setting).
4. Fixed: Television Setup wizard complained about not having remote device even though the user was not setting up Set-top Box profiles.
5. NEW: Added an IR Device Activation page on Televsion Setup wizard, so one can make sure IR devices are activated before trying to set up an STB profile.
6. Changed: When a television channels is designated "hidden", it is automatically removed from its group (if previously grouped).

NEW: On Manage Channels tool, the "Channel" column header carries a sorting code, to indicate current sorting mode of channels in the list.  "Channel (Custom)" - custom sorting; "Channel (12-3 ABC)" - sorted by full channel name; "Channel (ABC)" - sorted by channel name without number in front; etc.
8. NEW: Added one more television channel sorting mode: Favorite, which puts favorite channels above regular channels.
9. NEW: Support for playing HTTP Live Streaming streams (both video/audio and audio-only).
10. Changed: Updated Japanese translation (thanks Kazuo!).
11. Fixed: On some systems, audio CD burning was failing while writing the lead-in.  This was much more prone to happen if the CD-Text option was disabled.

1. Changed: Group Channels tool is merged into the Manage Channels tool and removed from Television property page.
2. Changed: In the Manage Channels tool, right clicking menu offers "Group Channels" and "Ungroup channels" that perform simple grouping or ungrouping of selected channels.  The "Group Channels" button offers the old grouping tool that allows more elaborate grouping operation.
3. Changed: Removed "Set up IR Emitter STB channels" tool from Television property pages as it is no longer needed.
4. NEW: The launcher (MC20.exe) takes a /MinMax command to toggle the minimized / maximized state of the program.

1. Fixed: Catching of YouTube links with the IE engine was not working.  Now it might play in the browser at the same time, so stop that manually if you do something else.

3. NEW: Added an option in Theater View -> Behavior to disable the Left-Edge jump to the top roller in Grid views.
4. Fixed: Transitioning from an image to a video in a playlist was not working properly.
5. Changed: On Manage Channels dialog window, a checkbox in the "Favorite" or "Hidden" column will toggle only if one clicks on or very near the checkbox, to prevent accidental toggling.
6. Fixed: The additional audio delay from the resampler changes in 20.0.67 was not being compensated properly.

1. Fixed: Doing a play on a grouped artist, etc. tile would expand the files in a fixed way instead of using the sorting of the bottom list.
2. Changed: The WDM driver is only installed on Vista and newer (was probably causing an install issue on XP).
3. Fixed: There was quite a long delay at the start of audio CD burning and the main thread could get stalled for a while.
4. Changed: The string sorter doesn't interpret a dash as a negative sign unless it's right after a space or it's the first character in the line (should fix mystery sort issues with dash delimited data).
5. Fixed: MC could not play ALAC files with very high sample rate.

1. Fixed: Number sorting was broken in 20.0.64.
2. Fixed: The capture device field of a capture-only television channel was erroneously cleared after it was viewed in Manage Channels tool.

The on screen Visualization (Stereo) is lost & any window that had the foreground (on the Desktop) shows up in its place in MC. Also, other Visualizations that still show up in MC are frozen & are no longer animated.

Boy, I just can't reproduce this.  I can run /MinMax and both 3d and 2d visualizations come back fine.

Boy, I just can't reproduce this.  I can run /MinMax and both 3d and 2d visualizations come back fine.

Most of the time the Visualization window comes up totally black (no image at all) OR it will pick up whatever window is laying on the desktop (usually under the MC screen). As I was typing this Forum Post I ran MC20.exe /MinMax and this Post showed up in MC's Visualization window.  I have ran the MC20.exe /MinMax as a direct shortcut & also in my mouse button as a link to a shortcut... same problem.

Also, if I double-click on the black Visualization window (to maximize it) & double-click again to restore it to MC, it will restore correctly UNTIL I run MC20.exe /MinMax again.  It happens every time, no exceptions & is very repeatable.

Would an MC log help?

AAC is a lossy format, its decoded to 32-bit floating point, so thats all correct!

HTTP Live Streaming is a special streaming format. You can just use the URL in Open URL and it'll stream.

If you have files tagged with a Total Discs and do 'Update Library (from tags)', it'll fill the field in MC.

The disc # would be something like "2/3" if it has the field.

Problem with the new Total Discs option.
Do not enable the "save in file tags option" for this field.

Enabling this meant that every single album that was viewed in Media Center was silently tagged with "/1" appended to the disc number - even for albums which already had an existing value.

No mention of this in the status bar at all.

E.g. an album listed as "2/3" would become "2/1" when viewed, because Media Center didn't think that it had a value for "Total Discs". (I had not run "update library from tags" on those files)
 
Additionally, there does not appear to be any way to enter values in the standard "1/3", "2/3", "3/3" format. This should be written to the disc tag as-is, and fill out both fields.

Total Discs and Total Tracks isn't even written to the tags (except as a custom field which won't effect anything).

I'm riddled.

Sorry, it looks like it must be something else which screwed up the tags and it just happened that MC now being able to read them is what made the problem visible.
I just restored a handful of the affected files from a backup a week ago and they have the same /1 tag problems.
 
I must have been looking at a different version of the album from the one that I sent you a sample track from, because one version was tagged as "2/3" while the other was "2/1" for some reason.
That's why I thought something had happened to them right after I enabled the "save in file tags" option - because that's what I used to check that it was working, and I saw that it was now "2/1" rather than the "2/3" that I expected.

Was on 20.0.63 and then updated to this latest version (to see if it fixed my issue), but I've noticed that If I add a new movie to my library and use the "Get Movie and TV Info" dialog it searches for and finds the movie info but the image is blank.  This happens for any movie in my collection.

still seeing an issue where the last track of a double sided cue file shows the total duration of that side. so for example if side a has ten tracks with a combined duration of 50 minutes, track number ten will show its duration as 50 minutes in the playing now window. the duration is correct at the display at the top when the track is playing.

You should send them the cue file and associated flac files.

When I try to use [Playlist Remaining Time] in Customize Display, it rounds it off to the nearest minutes.

So, when I use:

So I tried a really long playlist and the Playlist Remaining Time comes out as:

  501 hours 29 minutes

FYI, if I use the FormatDuration function, then it comes out as:

  8:21

which is 8 days, colon, 21 hours.  (But I am not using FormatDuration with any of the other three times.)

So the problem is that - for some reason - only two integers are allowed.

What would be best - to fit the Physical CD Player Display Paradigm - would be to have more than 2 integers, so it would be either

   8:21:29:03

representing days:hours:minutes:seconds

or

  501:29:03

if it is easier to not deal with days.

The concept is to use the same format as the existing [Remaining Time], so a negative sign for clarity (same as [Remaining Time]) would be helpful.

BTW, another problem with using text "hours" and "minutes" is that it takes up way too much of the Player Display, which is very limited in size.

(Any) programs recorded from OTA tuner card now go to some Shows folder named "Unfiled"  They used to go to their own, labled folder.  Specifically, "NBC Nightly News" went to folder with data "NBC Nightly News".  Not any more.

Please make some extra effort to improve subtitles. I know english spoken people watch mostly english spoken movies and TV series  but the rest of the world uses extensively subtitles in native languages. At the moment  I have to set up subtitle's size and location every time I watch a new episode or a movie. I can not set them up permamently. I can not delay or move subtitles forward if there is any post-processing delay. These chanages would be minor but very important to all the people who use subtitles for foreign movies.
