Importing MC Library.xml
« on: May 27, 2015, 02:15:26 pm »

I exported my current main library from Media Center to an MC Library.xml file. (I wanted to change the disk location of all the files and a simple text find and replace on the xml file seemed to be the easiest option.)

How do I now get the amended MC Library.xml file back into Media Center? I can only find an export option for this xml meta data file (the import option seems only to see actual media files).

That is NOT the best way.  Or even a valid way.

See:

Use the Find and Replace Template.

Have used this successfully in earlier versions. It was always a good way of duplicating a library on different computers.

How do I export a library from MC 19 on one computer and import it into my copy of MC 20 on a different one? I don't want to rebuild it from scratch.
