JRemote starts playing after phone call

Very strange bug: I was playing music in the car, streamed through JRemote on my iPhone. I parked, turned off the car, and disconnected the phone, which made JRemote stop playing. But now, every time I get a phone call, when I hang up, the music starts playing again! Weird!

Is this supposed to happen? Do I physically have to quit JRemote whenever I'm done listening?

That's probably related to Bluetooth behavior and not with JRemote.  Try the Bluetooth settings on the phone.

Thanks Jim. Actually, I wasn't playing it through Bluetooth, but rather through the lightning connector. And just to be clear, I'm saying it starts playing immediately after a phone call when I'm away from my car. Literally, I'm in my office, haven't played music in my car for hours, and the app starts playing music on my phone right after I make a phone call!

I've seen this before too, but not regularly.

Rebooting the phone made it go away. I'm not sure if it is a JRemote bug or an iOS bug, but it doesn't happen all the time.

I have seen this as well.  I believe that it is because JRemote actually "Pauses" when you disconnect rather than "Stopping".  The iPhone sees this as the same when you are actually listening and receive a phone call.

I have found that I can stop this behaviour by opening and actually "Stopping" it.  Once I have done that then it no longer seems to start again after a phone call (and other situations).

I don't know. It seems to be common.

Happened to me today with iCatcher, and to my wife two days ago with the built in Music.app, so the issue afflicts other similar audio-playing apps as well.  Smells like an iOS issue.

I don't know if it is an IOS issue or the way apps including JRemote access these controls in IOS.

But I do believe it is because the app is "Paused" rather than "Stopped" and therefore resumes once whatever other process that is using the audio output stops using it.
