Best way to manage playlists
« on: July 27, 2015, 02:22:58 am »

Could someone please help me out with the best way to manage playlists today ? I'm totally confused between Dr. Who, Jukebox, imported lists ...

Is Jukebox still under development , or is this dead so I can forget about it ?

I would like to do the following :
- create playlists with data from multiple sources : own files, tracks on Spotify, tracks on Qobuz
- create instances of a playlist where the 'parent' is ordered according to selection criteria.  Adding a track to the parent means all the children are updated too.
- is there a shuffle function that keeps tracks together  ? With classical music, I want to shuffle works, not individual tracks.

If one could point me to things I forgot to ask about features because I have not realised they exist, it would be really appreciated.

Does anyone know if JRiver has any plans with http://developer.echonest.com/acoustic-attributes.html.
It would make a great addition. I use it to order Spotify playlists and it creates playlists that are pleasing to the ear.
