Output Encoding on surround ONLY

I use an old set of Logitech Z-5500's which are picky about SPDIF sources. My goal is to passthrough stereo sources (sample rate limited to 96khz) but to have multichannel tracks go through Output Encoding in Output Format DSP Studio. Is there any way to have Output Encoding as Dolby Digital but have this only occur on 5.1 channel audio sources (FLAC, SACD)?

zones

make a zone with a switch rule [channels]>2, and the other zone with a switch rule [channels]<=2, and configure each zone DSP to do what you want
