Clicking sound
« on: May 06, 2004, 10:24:08 pm »

I got Media Center with my computer (ver 9) and was working fine.  Now I have over 5000 tracks in my Library and on playback there are clicking noises whenever I play tracks (like I'm listening to vinyl).

This is rather bizzare as this occurs with MP3's ripped from my own CD's, but it doesn't happen using Winamp or Windows Media Player???

Any Help?? or is my list just too big for Media Center

i dont know what your particular issue is, but its not related to the numbrer of files. i have 30,000+ and others have 100,000+ which work fine. There must be some other setting / system issue.

That could be a sound card driver problem.  You might try updating it.

There are other possibilities.  Doing a search here or at google might help.  Try searching here for "clicks" and "pops".
