Once upon a time, Jim had a dog.  His name was Logan.

Logan liked to chase tennis balls.  He was good at it.

Jim had no money so he took Logan to the park (Golden Gate in San Francisco) to find balls by crusing the bushes around the tennis court.  Logan found many.

When they came home, in the faded green 59 Ford Pickup, Jim had a bunch of balls, but the problem was, see, they lived on a hill, and here's what happened.

Logan loved to play ball.  He would take the ball, put it down and back away slyly, waiting for someone to grab it or kick it, which would normally cause Logan to react in an amazing fashion.

But on the hill, when he put the ball down, It Rolled Away, down Folsom Street for three blocks, maybe four, and across Army Street, Now Called Caesar Chavez.

End of Ball.  End of Story.  Next Ball.

I bet that frustrated the heck out of Logan, and you, too, JimH! Funny story! I would have loved to see the look on Logan's face! LOL
