Bad bug here: Installed 11.0.221, initially seemed much better behaved than 193, but now the same problem. Although it was fine on the first run, after closing it and rebooting, it wont work again, just crashes within a minute of startup every time. Hard crash, non recoverable, either complete system freeze or bsod.

Due to the nature of it, theres not a lot of info I can really give... also I dont know if this has been addressed in the builds since 221.

CPU: AMD800
RAM: 256M
OS: 98se

How many of your customers will be using 98se I dont know, XP seems pretty popular, despite its horrors.

I just built a new pc and somehow managed to download and install build 223 when it was available.  Any chance this was also a bad build? (I see it is not listed in the revision history).   I ask because I had several random lockups while playing songs and am not sure if there is a deeper problem with the new pc.  Thanks.

Beginning with 221, we had stability problems that improved in each release.  Try 225.

cncb have you tried running a hardware test routine overnight to see if your new systems properly data error free?

I haven't because I was hoping this was a problem with MC .  I am not familiar with any such routines.  Do you have any suggestions?  Thanks.

First of all download and install Stress Prime 2004 from http://sp2004.fre3.com/ and run that for 24 hours. If there's something in your memory or CPU that should surface. If not, try to download some 3D test program, like Mad Onion's 3DMark and run them in loop for 24 more hours. If they don't crash or create problems, your hardware should be OK.

Thanks for the suggestions.  Turns out it is the pc and not MC .  This is really a pain to track down since the computer just randomly locks up after several hours with no indication of the problem and I'm forced to reset.  It's too bad XP doesn't have some better troubleshooting capabilities...

I'm having the same problem again, with build 230. Time to do another full system stress test I think, see whats going on.

There's a memory leak in 230... upgrade to 232... or wait until the next build comes out (maybe tomorrow).
