How To Use? madTestPatternSource

Has anyone one used madshi's latest test patterns with MC? http://madshi.net/madTestPatternSource.zip

The instructions are:
INSTALL: run install.bat (with admin rights!)
USAGE: drag one of the "*.ytp" files into your favorite media player

...but no luck so far for me (tried the old Windows Merit Based filter selection as well).

I haven't been able to make them play in MC18- I can however drag them into MPC-HC and play them there.

I'd also be interested if there is a way to play them with MC18.
