JRiver 19 into AirPort Express
« on: November 03, 2013, 11:58:32 am »

I have JRiver 19 that steams to my main stereo perfectly.  This weekend I've added an AirPort Express to steam music into a stereo receiver in a different room.  JRiver recognizes the new connection, but I can't get any audio signal out of the AirPort Express.  I would appreciate any help completing the setup.

Unfortunately I don't have an airport express to test on.  Maybe try taking a look here:

It's a little old but there might be some good information in there.  Some more info about your settings might be helpful.

^^

This comment is OT (sorry)..

However I did notice just yesterday that the latest version of iTunes seems now to support UPnP / DLNA renderers. To be honest I did not check if it actually works but my Yamaha RX-A820 receiver does now show up as a device in iTunes.

Obviously the fact of Apple adding support in its server software for UPnP renderers, does not in anyway imply that it might add support in its players for UPnP servers. But stranger things have happened...
