Hey guys, we've been using ICE TCP for many years. We are on version 6.09n and Windows interface version 6.6.3.
Most of us use WINNT or WIN2k, and we connect to an hpux server.
We use VT220 for emulation (works great with our application) however when we have highlited characters on an account screen, the background and the text are real dark. The older the monitor the worse it gets. We can only change forground and background colors, and we've tried various combinations.

Has anyone overcome this issue before?

Your 16 bit version of ice (4.3.1) is no longer supported (see the version info at the top of the forums).

If you look in your manual you will see how to change the color attributes for underline, blink, etc. If you are having trouble seeing the dim attribute you should use a white on black color scheme (which behaves the same as the unix machine console).

Ì`m not really sure if this is the same problem that we are having but we have installed it in a new PC and we are having a problem with it. We can`t see the cursor, ussually it is yellow coloured and squared, but now we can´t see it so it`s very difficult to work because you don`t now where you are. We didn`t change colours so this is not the problem. We`ll be glad if you can give us a solution. Thanks.

For best visibility you should use low intensity white on black as the default color selection.

It was an easy solution, just changing the blue colour, because by default it is lighter and the corect is the dark blue one.
