Hi,

When I enter an Artist on play doctor (i.e.) Haydn, the output are filenames that contain thie selected artist very rarely, one time only or less than 1%..
This happens regardless of the choice on the options ( some, more or a lto of variety)

On the JRiver 20 the selection were more accurate.

May be I do something wrong? I also tryied to reset the Rules, but without success.

Can you create a backup of your library and e-mail that backup to me? I can take a look and try and figure out what might be going wrong. My e-mail is brad at jriver dot com.

I have been unable to produce the same results. With your library loaded, the results I get seem to be pretty accurate with including tracks by the artist searched. What you might try doing is using Play Doctor to build a variety of different lists and keeping track of the results. Something might stand out that provides a bit more information on this.

I found a difference on how MC20 works against MC21 for Play Doctor:
On MC20 after having entered the name of the artist, the choice is between the different ways on the name, composer. artist... etc
as you can see on the following picture:



and the result are a lot of files of Haydn (in this case)

On MC 21 the choice is between Files , not names :



and the result is the following,



May be is this the problem ??

Thank you for that. I do think you're on to something here. I tried it out myself and with Media Center 20, it seems to be populating the list based on the composer name; however, in Media Center 21, it seems to be populating the list based on the track title. I am going to try and figure out when this originated and see if that might reveal something.
