If I use the media server from work, will it update playback statistics on my home database?  ..or am I correct in assuming it is downloading the database locally and

If not, I would consider this a valuable feature, as you will build a much more accurate picture of playback statistics and habits - to produce more fitting 'Smart' playlists..

No it doesn't update the stats. I am looking at this to see how hard it will be to add.
