CD track info not written
« on: December 10, 2015, 06:04:11 pm »

CD track info is gotten from online database but not written in the file tag after ripping. All ripped tracks are named as Track 1, track number 1, no album nor artist info. Folder and file names are correct, though. I ripped a couple of CD's and encoded to FLAC. Both had the same problem. I had to manually tag the track names using the "Fill properties from file name" library tool.

Are you ripping to a local drive?  Anything unusual about your setup?

Yes, I am ripping to the local drive. Nothing unusual about my setup. Ripping was working fine some builds ago.
Both MC and Windows have been updated since then. My PC is running MC on Windows 10 version 1511.

PS: Sorry for the duplicated post. It looked like the first one have been lost but it went to page 2 and I did not notice.

Just the Windows 10 embedded "Windows Defender".

Please describe the process you are using to rip.  Something isn't right.

Please describe the process you are using to rip.  Something isn't right.
After loading the CD and it being analyzed, I select the drive where it is, on the Drives & Devices tree, then I press the "Rip tracks" button on the top of the screen. Then I hit the "Rip" button on the action screen to start the process.

FYI, I reverted to Build 24 and ripping is back to normal with correct tagging.

Updated to Build 26 again. The problem is back.
I'll revert to 24 again and change the update channels settings to "Stable".

Just use the Rip button in the Action Window, lower left corner.

I'm having the same problem. I've ripped dozens of cd's in the past with no problems but even after updating the disk info from the internet pre-rip I see it change all the data as soon as the file is written to my disk. Unknown artist, track 1 for each track.

Sorry for the trouble.

Next build:
Fixed: The CD information could change as a track was ripping.
