Connection Refused Messages

I've gotten booted off my connection between jremote and jriver on my Mac.
The synergy had been working flawlessly for over a year and there have been no hardware changes
I don't believe that any security preferences have been changed on my mac
I have toggled fire wall on and off
I have double checked application access in security
I have rebooted the computer and the router,
I have closed reopened MC19 & MC20
I have tried to regenerate an new network access key (not successfully)
I have requested a new temporary install key

Not sure if anyone else has had issues with using their IOS devices
with jriver.

You should try only one version of MC at a time.  Preferably MC20 since it's newer. 

What happens when you try to connect from JRemote?  Have you tried adding the server "fresh" to JRemote with a new server definition?

The odd thing is that I've got a desktop and a headless mac mini both running
the last version of MC20 and both have lost their ability to connect to my iphone
and tablet at the same time.

I've tried deleting the servers listed on the iOS devices and connect fresh.
however I'm getting a connection refusal using the access key provided.

It might help if I could generate a new access key but deselecting network in options
and closing the app and restarting is not generating a new key.

I have powered everything down and rebooted everything.
I have deleted the MC20 app and reinstalled.  I have also removed and reinstalled
the jremote app on my phone.

It feels like something has changed with the apple updates that prevents
MC20 to communicate/control my sever

I am surprised that I'm the only one with trouble controlling MC20 with an iOS device.

I'd agree with you on the firewall potentially being the source of "connection refused" messages,
but I have 2 separate computers in my network who both mysteriously have refused to communicate with my
iOS devices.  If indeed a firewall block is in place due to a system change due to an apple os update,
than it's odd that no other mac users have been affected.

I have tried to "add a new server" with my computer's firewall settings off, to no avail.

In any case, how can I generate a brand new
access key?  Quitting the program, deleting and reinstalling MC and deleting and reinstalling JRemote
have not produced any new keys. 

Lastly, while I have the administrators attention, would you please clarify the manual connect settings
for parring an iOS device with a MC server/application.
Does "connect with IP address" require my apple computer IP address and port number, or my
synology server's IP address and port number or lastly my wifi router's IP address and port number?

Your Mac's IP address and port number is what you use for a manually entered connection.  The port number should be 52199 .

OK after trying a bit too much on this issue.
My solution was to remove MC access in firewall on preferences and re-enter it into
security preferences.  I also changed my user name and password to double check that
user permissions was not hanging up my connection to my iOS devices.

Connection was accepted on both OSX computers in JRemote.
