windows UAC and MC
« on: February 12, 2016, 01:18:34 am »

so...started working in a new country and got a remote desktop deal setup, complete with internet restrictions and the like.  of course because it's my personal laptop i can create a new user account to get my life back...but MC is asking for a license restore

it doesn't matter much to me i'll just restore it, but is this normal behaviour?  will i have to restore again from a backup?  or is there some way to just use the other user's install of MC?

edit: just restored the license, then the backup from the other User account and all is back to normal.

MC is so easy to use!

It'll make you have to restore a license if your PC gets a new name. Did they rename your PC to set it up for work?

Hey Glynor, thanks for that.  I renamed it so it would appear a little slicker on the network, never thought about that but it makes sense.

It's not like I'm out of restores anyways, but always good to learn a little bit.
