Sorry guys, maybe I'm a zero in using the forum search, but I'm obviously missing something about Remote Access to Id. 

I tried to access [Id IP]:52199 with both a VNC client and Web browser.
I get no connection with the VNC client; with the web browser I get the User/Password dialog; but I cannot get in.
I checked the PW on the Id text Menu and set again to default (remote), so I imagine the problem is the User (?)
What should I use as User? I tried my username for Webgizmo/JRemote (the only one I remember I've set on Id), "remote" (again) and <empty>, with no luck.

On Windows, search for "remote desktop" and run it.

I was offered the name of my Id, but I don't remember what you'll see if you haven't connected.

For the user name accept the default.

Enter the password you have set.  "remote" is the default.

BTW, using the right port number (default 5900) VNC worked, too.

Sorry Jim, but I realized the problem was the port number.
At least with windows 10, to get the login dialog with Remote Desktop I had to input only the IP WITHOUT the port number, otherwise I get an error msg.
(I cannot try with older win versions now)
