Olympus DM-1 (MP3 player) support
« on: August 20, 2003, 07:29:45 am »

:'( I can read what files are on the DM-1 but it only gets so far in the uploading process and then gives me a blank message box and won't go any further... any clues?

I'm sure I managed OK with an older version... can't remember which one, mind, sorry!

What types of files are you transferring? Does the DM-1 show up as a Removable Drive letter?

Mp3  files to the MP3 player, I get the pretty pic, I get to see the files "in queue" it even starts the upload stuff, and then when the first file in the list gets to "finished" on the main window the smaller window with the bits of paper flying between files closes all of a sudden and I get my mystery blank message box.

I've just downloaded the latest beta version of MC

What happens if you copy a file from Windows Explorer directly to the player?

That works, and so does musicmatch... had to get a plugin for it, but it works.

Please paste your system info from MC Help.

Make sure you have the latest version of MC.

Are  you trying to convert files?  If so, do you have the encoder to do that?  Does it work for just a straight conversion?

I'm just looking for plain, boring transfer, no frills, no conversion just plain MP3 from PC to handheld.

Could you try again with MC 9.1.238 when it is available?

Thanks,

Steve
