Copy MC onto a second computer
« on: March 03, 2016, 06:56:24 pm »

Can anyone please explain how to get MC to work on 2 different computers?

I bought and installed the latest MC on my laptop several months ago. Within a week I uploaded a trial version onto my desktop and then used the registration code for my bought copy to activate the version on my desktop. However, every time I open it, it still says its the trial version.

So far, nobody has responded with an explanation of how to fix the problem.

My original MC on my laptop has been working wonderfully. I'd really like to have my other computer be able to play and store my playlists.

Thanks

You may need to install the version that matches your license.  Please read this:

Your desktop is a Windows computer as well?  You have a "Windows only" license.

Of course

However, desktop is XP and laptop is Windows 7.
Does that matter?

Both computers have the same version, MC 21

Which version of Media Center do you have installed on the desktop? There was an issue with Media Center not installing licenses on Windows XP, but this was corrected in version 21.0.40. Try downloading the latest version from the Media Center 21 forums and then try installing the license again.

Re: Import Flac files

Thanks, the re upload worked

New problem: I have a few folders of FLAC files that MC 21 doesn't seem to be able to import. It can play them, but I've tried multiple methods and failed to import the folders into MC21.
