problems to play files
« on: March 12, 2016, 06:44:01 pm »

Hi!

When I try to listen to my files it says:

"Playback problem"
"Somethíng went wrong with playback:
Details: The file could not be found. Check that the filename in the library matches the filename on disk"

What should I do?

Regards,
Kimmo

Use your mouse to hover over the track, to see the location of the file.  Check in that location to see if the file is there.

Yes the file is there.
It says: This is a stack of 2 items.

"Tagging error"
"Media center encountered errors while tagging or moving files.
Check that the files exist, and are not read-only, and are not in use by other programs
Tagging error C:\users\Kimmo\Music\Kiss\Rock And Roll Over\01Kiss - I want you.flac

I have re ripped this file "Killers by Iron Maiden" but it still says:

"Something went wrong with playback, Details, The file could not be found.
Check that the filename in the library matches the file name on disk."

What should I do?

Go to the files view on the left under Audio and find one of these that won't play.  Click the little black icon next to the song name to expand the stack.  Now you can see details about both files in the stack.  Perhaps one of them is missing?  If so you can delete that stack item and the one that's actually there should remain.

You might post a screen shot if you still have trouble.
