Details: I'm using JRemote on my iPhone 6 Plus to stream audio from MC on my PC to the iPhone. I have "This Device" selected as the output zone on my iPhone. I have a new Apple lightning to USB 3 adapter connected to the iPhone enabling me to output to a USB DAC. When streaming 16 bit / 44.1 kHz audio to the iPhone, JRemote outputs a bit perfect signal to my DAC. When streaming 24/96, 24/176.4, and 24/192 music, JRemote outputs the sample rate fine, but is doing something to the bit depth. I can't get bit perfect playback for these high resolution files.
Note: When using the same hardware setup with FLAC Player on my iPhone, I can output 16/44.1, 24/96, 24/176.4, and 24/192 bit perfectly without issue. The only difference is the iOS app. FLAC Player works, JRemote doesn't.
Question: Can JRemote send and output bit perfect high resolution to an iOS device?
Attached is a screenshot displaying JRemote with 24/192 FLAC (but the output isn't bit perfect).
