I didn't see a requests topic specifically for the Mac build, so I hope this is okay.
1) Mac native menu support or emulate the look of the native Mac menu through the skinning engine. Yeah, this is one of the things people complain about most - that MC doesn't use native Mac-esk menus. So my request here is to either support Apple's system of showing menus or emulate a native Mac-style menu through the skinning engine. If it's the latter it'd need to a) detect if dark mode is enabled or disabled, b) know what font is used for the menus (the size, if bold, the color, etc.) and c) match the transparency of the current native Mac menus (both normal and dark modes). There's probably more to it, but whichever one would be easier to do in MC.
2) Support native Mac shortcuts/hotkeys for specific functions. Everything for this request is in
this topic. It should be pretty straightforward to do, honestly, if not quick as well.
3) Font antialiasing or something like that so fonts in MC look nice and smooth. I notice on a non-retina screen the fonts are pretty jaggy (using Lucida Grande 11 point) on a 1440p screen - it likely appears more jaggy on 1080p or below.
4) I brought this one up before, but by default on Mac when you hover on one of the top left buttons (close, minimize, maximize/restore) it should highlight (and show) all three buttons, instead of each button. This would match the Mac behaviour - to see it in action just hover your mouse upon the close button in Finder, then MC and look at the difference.
Thoughts?
