The procedures that I've read say to download MC 21, get it running, then update to Windows 10. But if you're not sure that MC V17 is compatible with Windows 10 shouldn't I update my OS to 10 then update to MC V21? You've convinced me to use MC V21 and now I'm trying to figure out how to do it.

It should work either way, but after Win10 is installed, you will need to install MC again.
