any hints how I get round this install problem.  trying to install on Win 7 pro SP1.
the extract dialog appears, runs right through to 99% extracted and then just displays the error and stops

try running the install as an Administrator (right click on the file and select "run as Administrator").

many thanks for the suggestion.  I tried that but still no joy.
by killing the process instead of clicking ok I have got all the files unzipped into
C:\Users\john\AppData\Local\Temp\7zSA14D.tmp
unfortunately there is something strange with the permissions of that folder because it won't let me execute from there.  I get an error stating that windows cannot access the device path or file I may not have the permissions to access.  I'm investigating what the security is for these files and folders.  Any more clues would be helpful

I uninstalled AVG and it worked
