Using a remote control
« on: June 08, 2016, 05:05:00 pm »

Hello all,

I've been using MC for some time now. I own a remote works well with MC on Windows. It only allows for volume control on MC running on Linux Mint.

Any ideas? It'd be nice to have the track change function, at a minimum.

Thanks,

Remote control isn't supported on Linux yet. Apparently it's coming as part of v22. The volume you are changing is the system volume directly, not via MC.

If you're impatient, I suppose you could try configuring LIRC to keyboard shortcuts if you really wanted to... :-)

Have you tried Gizmo or JRemote?
