Audio randomely freezes
« on: June 15, 2016, 07:06:31 pm »

I operate JRiver Media Center 21 and have for several years.  When playing audio the program will stop playing.  This has occurred on different computers, different versions of J-river, and different DACs.  I currently use a schiit bifrost through USB.  Running Windows 10 but it has done the same thing under Windows 8 as well.  I have the most recent version of Schiit software downloanded.  I am absolutely frustrated and at the crossroads of switching to a different software as I have no idea of how to fix.  Please help.

What version of MC are you running?

What kind of files are you playing?

Can you duplicate it on another computer or with another DAC now?  I know you said you could at one time.

Antivirus programs can cause problems like that.

Try using DirectSound. Maybe its also a Latency problem. While you play music start LatencyMon. Please post the Result of it here. Use an Spoiler.

Running version 21.0.83

FLAC files

Can be duplicated on other PCs

I run McAfee - which is consistent on other computers - if this is the issue, how do I stop it from being an issue?

Thanks!
