Hello!
I have a lot issue with playback of YouTube.
I did setup my YouTube account in Options/Services (YouTube).
Using engine chromium in JRiver.
Version. JRiver 21.0.90
Standard view.
Win7 x64 i5, GTX970, 16Gb

I open connected media/YouTube, select playlist from my biblioteca of account, and click to link one of video.
JRiver can to show popup window (show the webpage, play inside, download ...) and i can choose to save the choice (keep using this answer).
Issue:
1. If i press Cancel on some links, JRiver hangup.
2. Click on link some of videos, JRiver show popup window (PW), some link of video not show PW - simple start to play the webpage in JRiver.
3. After click on link some of video, where was popup window, and it start played inside JRiver (in player) (as i want),  but appeared second, same popup window
4. Some video start to play in webpage inside JRiver, and in same time appeared popup window, i choose cancel and JRiver hangup
5. Tested at one video: run inside the player (ok), then yet one lick on link of video, again choose start to play inside the player. JRiver start to play inside and in the same time start to play on the webpage of JRiver.
5. Ctrl+left click work unpredictable. Some time it show popup window, other time not, simple start to play on  the webpage, other restarts, then ctrl+click on link hangup JRiver.
6. "keep using this answer" have not guarantee of the save. next time same video can to start play on the webpage instead play inside the player, ctrl+click nothing doing, simple always start on the webpage. (I watched one video, inside the player (all was good), then on next restart JRiver, this video always play on the webpage, ctrl+ don`t work fro this one. after another restarts, ctrl+click on this link started hangup JRiver.
7. Click "download video", add 2 downloads instead one. (my mouse ok, i tested, it is not mouse issue.)

Some Youtube videos are "protected" and MC can't play them.

Youtube has no DRM.
If the Video is blocked, you could use an VPN.
Alternatively, you could try if you can download the video with a Video Converter or youtube-dl https://rg3.github.io/youtube-dl/

If you can play Videos outside of JRiver in your Browser, it's definitively JRiver who is not supporting it.
Maybe they use a special playing algorithm which isnt very compatible.

Thanks for reply.

I always thought if video protected, apps should not hangup. Show the popup message, about a protected video and then the  wait a new task from the user.

Also most things from my first post, little depends to protected videos.
Main issue is a lot hangups, and second - unpredictable run play on the  inside player or (and in same time) on the webpage in JR
Please make some fix. Else using service of Youtube in JR is pointlessly.

Update. Today i tried program "Kodi", watched same videos via Kodi, all of them have shown good with out any issue. If press back (in Kodi) i can see list of videos on same position, in same time JRiver every time rollback to the first page of list in webpage view, and yet ctrl don`t work on this videos, show only in webpage. I think need some revision and fix functions in JRiver.

I have always been frustrated with the Youtube option in MC. Why does it not play all content when there are free open source products that can? For example smplayer has smtube which happily plays Vevo content etc... and seems to regularly update the required Youtube component.

I'm happily paying my license fee for MC and I expect all features to work properly.
