I moved this from another thread and I'd like to respond to it.
"Fixes" are at least as important to us as features, though we're sometimes accused of the opposite.
"Unimportant" to you may be very important to someone else.
What's "important" to me is that we move as quickly as we can to fix problems and add useful features.
In the last year or so, our work has included these:
- The web app Panel
- Lighting control
- Video support on Linux and Mac
- SoX resampling
- Doctor Who Playlist and View sharing
- MC for Linux on Raspberry Pi
- Many incremental improvements for the JRiver Id
- Remote setup for the JRiver Id
- Video foundation work for Linux and Mac to be able to do Theater View
- OneRemote
- DSP over DLNA
- 3D Blu-Ray
- Many minor changes to enhance usability
- Many minor features requested by users
I realize that none of these may matter to you. They do matter to me. I'm doing the best I can to help steer our work in directions which will have lasting impact for our products and for JRiver.
You may have your own list of essential changes for JRiver Media Center. We try to pay attention when our customers ask for things, but in the end, we have to build a product that makes sense to us, even if we lose a few customers along the way.
