Different versions of Windows

Could not find an answer in FAQ. Info states that registration is keyed to OS, I have a master PC running Windows 10 and 2 client PC's; one running Win 8.1 and one with Win 7. Can a windows license be installed and work on different versions of the Windows OS at the same time?
