Hello,
I recently purchased the id classic and have it set up via ethernet
I have loaded the library into mc 22 twice and when i try to play a file an error comes back "sometrhing went wrong with playback; the file could not be found . Check is the filename matches the filename on the disc?
Also, i now have twice as many files loaded because I loaded the library twice .
The tag information from the configuration before still exists.
How do I fix these issues.

Can you tell us more about how you set it up?
Are you playing to it as a zone in MC 22 (on a pc or mac I assume) or are you trying to load a MC 22 library on the Id?

Yes, I have an ethernet connection, two external hard drives plugged into the id,
I am using a pc windows 10 OS with mc22 to auto import the library from the id to mc22

Also how do I find the Id on my computer to access the menu to run an update

That may be the problem.  What is it that you want to do?  Are you just trying to use the Id as a file server?

Is the Id connected to a sound output device?

The simplest way might be to use Panel to connect to the Id.  Once you have connected to the Id, click on the gear icon at the bottom.

I want to use the id as a file server to the mc22 on my pc.
I have deleted all libraries and am now re loading the library into my mc22 on my pc
After this is done should the file play?

You don't need to delete the library on the PC, you can simply choose the Id as your "Playing From" library.
Are you trying to play on the PC or the Id?

Now I am trying to update my id and I cannot find it on the panel I found the panel but when I click on the settings,audio video etc icon the setting page does not load. I have paused ad block and still nothing

Try using remote desktop or vnc to connect to its GUI interface. Perhaps the build doesn't have the latest panel features but will once you update it.
The default password is
remote

Look for the gear icon at the bottom.  It's the last thing on the home page of Panel.

The gear box on Gizmo only brings me to the audio, images, video playlist and search
I pulled up Gizmo on my mac pro

well how do I get to Panel without going through gizmo? I am trying to update my new id.

Open a web browser and enter the address of your Id and the port number.  Here is an example:

http://192.168.0.14:52199

Substitute the address of the Id.  If you don't know it, you can get it by right clicking on the Id in MC.

Thats for that.  It did get me to Panel and to where I could click on check for updates.

Well another problem, I click on it and nothing happens?

It's no problem.

When you click on Check for Updates, MC will do it and reboot.  It usually takes 3 to 4 minutes on a good connection.

Waited about 20 minutes clicked on updates again and nothing happens.
I did notice that the boxes are not lit up but settings and panel are!
About ready to send the id back!

My guess is that it probably did update, but you would only be able to see this if you had a monitor connected to the Id. At the time, the Id didn't return any text to the Check for Updates option on Panel. If you do an update now, You should see the Id version information at the bottom of settings.html. The latest Id update should also return some output to the Check for Update option in Panel, so you know it's working.
