Hi, I'm a brand new Id owner. Spent some time over the last few days setting everything up and learning the MC landscape (a journey that I have yet to complete). I'm using the Id and JRemote to listen to music on the go. When I make a change in MC that requires me to relaunch the app, I have yet to figure out how to do so without rebooting the Id (GUI, option 1). Is there a way to terminate MC and then relaunch it without rebooting the Id?

It can be done, but you would need to use a terminal window.  An easy way is to use Panel on your phone or tablet.

Jim, I tried that, but I'm still finding my way around. I entered: http://[IP_Address]:52199  (changing [IP_Address] to your own IP address) on a nearby laptop, but it didn't work. Further guidance would be appreciated. Can this be done from one of the mainmenu prompts on the Id?

Try this in a browser on your laptop:

localhost:52199

Is Media Network on?

If you mean "Use Media Network to share this library and enable DLNA", yes, it is selected.

If localhost doesn't work, you probably have a firewall problem.  Make sure 52199 is open.

I'll try it tomorrow. May need to loop in Verizon to show me around under the hood.

To address your original question, if you want to restart Media Center on an Id, all you need to do is close Media Center. Media Center should automatically relaunch within one minute after you close it.
