Is there any way to play songs from PressPlay music service? They are WMA encoded songs you download from a On Line Pay Song Service. $9.95 per month pluse

Perhaps you can elaborate a bit?  MC does play wma files but I'm not exactly sure what you're asking.

Rhapsody is $9.95 / month with no contract and 20 songs burned are $15.80. $0.79 per track unlimited actually. The library is HUGE. You can play burned songs just like you would play a CD or rip it also.

I think pressplay only works with Windows Media Player.

pressplay's minimum system requirements are as follows:

   * Operating System - Windows 98 Second Edition, Windows 2000, Windows Me, or Windows XP

Note: pressplay is not supported on Windows 95, Windows NT, or Macintosh.

   * Processor - Intel Pentium-class CPU equivalent or better
   * Memory - 64MB of RAM minimum
   * Hard Drive - approximately 2 MB for pressplay and 12-15 MB for Windows Media Player (if not already installed)
   * Sound Card - sound card and speakers
   * Browser - Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5.01 or higher (6.0 is recommended)

You would think that if it plays on WM it would play on MC if the associations are set right for it. Rhapsody, on the other hand, has it's own player. The one downside.

They should play fine.  MC can play protected WMA files.

RealOne Superpass is a video service, not audio.  RealOne Rhapsody is the best of the currently available services.  You should be able to try it for $4.95/month for the first three months.  Burned tracks are always 79 cents.  RealOne Rhapsody is easy to use, and has more than 350,000 songs, plus a radio service.

Mine is AudioGalaxy Rhapsody. There may not be any difference. But I second that as being the best deal / streaming sound quality / burning price.
The only downside is that it can't be channelled through Media Center.

The Rhapsody service is offered by several different companies, but it basically all the same.  Some, such as RealOne Rhapsody may offer better introductory deals.
All songs on Rhapsody are streamed, and are stored in a cache, so you may not listen to them in another program.  You are allowed to listen to any of Rhapsody's songs on any computer you can install the software on.  Your playlists, favorite artists and albums are stored on their servers.  Unlike PressPlay, the built-in CD burning works flawlessly.  The number of new songs they add weekly is impressive.

I also second that. I've got great, huge multiple volumes of jazz. I guess I have everything Wes Montgomery ever recorded. Maybe. I have dozens of his albums.
Rhapsody also has a very large library of music like that, too. If you can't find it on Emusic, it might be on Rhapsody.

Yes. It's a CD that will play in a CD player. You can rip it the same way. YADB doesn't work in that case, though. You'll have to know the tracks and the order you burned them.
