I have MC looking how I want it with 3 views the first 2 of which are locked. However when I close and open program I still have the 3 views but the 2ND one reverts to the start pane. When I look at the settings the lock view 2 which I ticked before saving view is now unticked. In the start up option I have set to last location. What ever I do the 2nd view always reverts to start. If I then load up my saved view then it works OK.

Make sure you're using the latest build (22.0.105).  It's on our Download Page.

Are you using MC as a client of MC running on a server?

downloaded the latest version, no difference. not sure what you mean by "Are you using MC as a client of MC running on a server?" what i am trying to do is to stream my music on my pc to a dlna player. This all works ok. what i cant do is to save the view i have configured when i start the program again.

I usually run  MC with 3 or 4 tabs open to different places like Albums, TV shows, etc.  I have startup set to last location.  My tabs always come back to where I left them when I stop and restart MC.

But you're referring to *split views* aren't you?  I don't use those, though I've experimented with them a little.  I'm not sure what might be going on.  You might try unlocking all of the splits you are using and see if that changes things any.

All my saved views are split.  I have no troubles

i have 2 more days on the trial. Where do we go from here?. Is it anything to do with the skin. I have tried all the available ones but what or where is the default skin. I'd like to get this resolved before I buy.

Could you post some screenshots of the views? (before and after restarting MC)

before attachment is the view I want and have saved.
After is the view that loads up when I restart. I then have to load the before again. When the after is started the lock view 2 that I ticked before saving is now unticked

Try unlocking all of your splits; see if that changes anything.

I've found out whats going on and it may be a bug!
Looking at the tree view if I click any of the audio links they will show up in the second view and will be saved and be displayed on relaunch using the last location option.
However if I try to save any of the renderers (players) in second view then on relaunch they will not be saved and the start page will be shown. Is this a bug?
