Did you try running "HCW Clear" program before re-installing the HCW software? I don't have this particular device on hand, so I don't know which driver is the right one.
The following two devices are possibly the hardware encoder filter (one in KSCATEGORY_ENCODER category, the other in KSCATEGORY_MULTIPLEXER category. Since we can not get their device name, we can not be sure.
DevPath: \\?\pci#ven_14f1&dev_8802&subsys_69020070&rev_05#4&ab0820&0&3a50#{19689bf6-c384-48fd-ad51-90e58c79f70b}\{1c10193d-7dca-4f55-99d8-00a0c9f21fc7}
DevPath: \\?\pci#ven_14f1&dev_8802&subsys_69020070&rev_05#4&ab0820&0&3a50#{7a5de1d3-01a1-452c-b481-4fa2b96271e8}\{1c10193d-7dca-4f55-99d8-00a0c9f21fc7}
The trouble is, the known info above does not match the "Hauppauge WinTV 88x Video Capture" filter's info, which is this:
DevPath: \\?\pci#ven_14f1&dev_8800&subsys_69020070&rev_05#4&ab0820&0&3850#{65e8773d-8f56-11d0-a3b9-00a0c9223196}\global
(dev_8800 vs. dev_8802)
