License restoring ...
« on: June 07, 2017, 02:16:33 pm »

Hi,

because of audio drop outs and crackles with Windows 10 with USB audio interfaces with brand new Asus motherboard and Intel USB, I'm currently in a process of installing Windows 10 multiple times from scratch incl. Asus motherboard replacement in 2 days because of a bad HDMI.

One of the threads:

USB Audio drop outs when mouse display pointer trails disabled (which is default)

Regarding

How many restores do I have left?
A: Go to the restore page and click on the 'e-mail' button to receive a list of your Registration Codes by e-mail. This e-mail also tells how many restores are available.  You have ten free restores each year and there is no limit on the number of years.

When I run out of the number of 10 (I would be near 0 but I've upgraded to MC 23 so it started from 10), now I'm on 9 and in 2 days - when I get my new motherboard then 8 and I don't know how often I have to reinstall Windows 10 from scratch this year - maybe I have also to get another motherboard and test again - I can't do the test with all partners within the 14 day time frame of a installation code of course.

So what does happen when I reach 0?

Regards

Just ask if you run out.

You can extend your restores by using the full 30 day trial period and by using the Install Key.  It's good for 14 days.

Hi, I purchased Media Center yesterday and installed a restore license by mistake. I did not realize my error until the second email arrived explaining that I had used 1 of 10 restores.
Is there any way to reset the count, please? Do you need the license number?

Thank you!

We only reset restores if you run out.  You probably won't.
