It seems that each time I install Media Center 23 on my machine (which already has Media Center 22), it consumes a yearly restore.

I see temporary install key emails with restore info on:

April 16 (MC22)
May 22 (MC23)
June 22 (MC23)
July 1 (MC23)
July 25 (MC23)

Can those restores be credited back to my license if I end up running out of installs this year for some reason?

After buying MC23 and installing the various betas, I've gone from 10 to 6 restores left this year.

Let us know if you run out.  They get replaced after 12 months.

Installing doesn't use a Restore.  You also don't need to do a Restore once you have installed MC.

After uninstalling MC23 because all of my .CUE albums in playlists broke their links, I tried installing again today.

I have an active installation of MC22 on this PC in the default directory. Installed MC23, and I have the "You have x days left in the trial period" window. If I click "Restore License" it'll email me and tick down one of the yearly installs.

What I'd really like to do is get a Portable install set up on a secondary hard drive. That's where my MC22 is, but it complains any time I try to get MC23 over there (don't have a valid license on this machine or something along those lines).

You have to do a portable install from a machine that is running the same licensed version.
