After I downloaded the last update from windows 10 yesterday,JRiver MC does not function anymore.
Blue screen appears with the text: faults are collected. Computer restarts. Stopcode. System thread exception not handled. VADSPDIF64.sys
Anyone familiar with this problem? Help please.

This may not help, but I'm not seeing a problem since yesterday's updates. I'm on Win10 Home, 64b. The updates I got yesterday were; KB84032188, KB84034662, KB84034674

  • Where did I put my teeth?

Possible antivirus problem.

Also ... if you're using WASAPI, try different settings.  Try a small buffer size.  Exclusive mode off and on.  Try DirectShow.

  • Long cold Winter...

Oh, it's the WASAPI BSOD on the Creators Update again.

If nothing helps, report it to the creator of SPDIF hardware so they create/release a new driver. Turning exclusive mode off *should* workaround the issue, but sound output won't be exclusive and bit-perfect.

I don't work for JRiver... I help keep the forums safe from "male enhancements" and other sources of sketchy pharmaceuticals.

Jim suggested a few options - do you know which were those or the one that resolved it for you?  (in case others run into this problem)
