How to update
« on: August 18, 2017, 08:59:16 am »

Hi,

every time there is a new version of JRiver I ask myself how to manage the update. Do I have de delete the old version f. ex. MC 21 first? I don't find anything about this in all your update information and announcements which is quite annoying.

Wouldn't it be possible to say a word to the procedure every time there is a new version? Otherwise it takes hours of searching and reading.

Just download and install MC23.  The rest should just happen.

When you're happy with MC23, you can uninstall old versions.

There is a topic here on Upgrade Help.

Is there a way to save and restore my settings from MC 21? Seems to me the update is very uncomfortable. I have to install new version and delete the old Version. Why no possibility to install over the old version and keep all settings. In MC 23 I have to do all settings manually again. This is a way we did things in 1996 >:(

MC23 will find your settings and use them.

Are you sure, Jim? First thing I had to do in MC23 is choose audio device in options and set the size of Album art again.  :-X
