BD Playback - Failed to Open or parse file [Solved]
« on: September 08, 2017, 09:14:58 am »

On my HTPC I get the message: "Something went wrong with playback - Failed to Open or parse file" if I want to play or rip a BD. I checked it with multiple BD's. AnyDVD is installed.

MC Version - 23.048

Any Idea?

On my PC it works same MC Version.

Solution: The Slim Line BD drive requires a combined SATA and Molex Plug - one of the two thin cables to the Molex Connector was flimsy!

Is AnyDVD up to date with the latest?

If it is anything like DVDFab it needs to be right up to date for recent Blu-rays.

Otherwise, reboot the HTPC?

I had it written in the first Thread!
