Device stopped seeing DLNA server
« on: October 12, 2017, 09:19:07 am »

For some reason my PC lost the wifi connection to my router, so I had to reset everything.  And now the generic DLNA server my receiver normally sees is gone and I can't seem to get it back.  I have attached a picture of the server I am trying to share again, so my receiver can see it.  Is there anyone who can help me troubleshoot this?? Seems like it should be fairly simple but I'm just not getting it.
thanks

Click on the "Add or configure DLNA servers" entry.

Make sure you have one showing or add one and see if your renderer can see it.

(Ps Hardwire your server to the router if you can, solves loads of issues).

If you have a DLNA server showing in the dialogue but cant see it on the renderer, try re booting your router.

Thank you both for the help!   It is back.  I did a reboot of the router.  The receiver is hardwired to the router but the PC is on the second floor so no way to hard wire that without quite a bit of work.  There was a firmware update to the router last night, so maybe that was part of it........very weird.  anyway, it's back so thanks again.

If you google you see lots of routers need a reboot every now and then.

My Asus one had Schedule for it !

For other reasons I reboot daily and see few issues

Thank you Mike, I appreciate it.  I will do this at least one a week.
